We aim to nurture the intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual growth of Muslim children with the hope of producing confident, competent individuals who can go out into the BRITISH SOCIETY and contribute positively.
Afifah High school has been in existence since September 2001. The school began from two combined houses with meagre facilities and 5 Muslim girls as pupils.
Afifah High school is based on Islamic ethos emphasizing all the Islamic Values that are important to all of us.
We are striving to provide high quality of balanced education for our pupils in a safe and in an Islamic environment.
• The school helps in preserving Islamic identity for the community at large, and for the children more specifically.
• It provides an environment where the students can practice their religion freely and receive feedback to improve their understanding of Islam.
• It helps our children achieve the best of both the worlds in a secular environment.
• It focuses on Islamic Skills and Qualities according to the Quran and Sunnah in a multi-cultural Society.
• Children excel in all aspects of their life when they grow up in such safe and nurturing environment.
Afifah High school offers a balanced curriculum that meets with the requirement of the National Curriculum.

Alhamdulillah, our pupils are very talented and the dedication and commitment of the teaching staff is helping them make excellent progress.
The School obtained its first set of GCSE results in 2006, which were very promising.
The school has been inspected twice by OFSTED (Office of Standard in Education Department by Cambridge) who are pleased with the progress that the school is making.
Currently there are 50 pupils on role; however the demand for places at the school from the Muslim community is increasing; as a result the pupil numbers on the roll are increasing.
Since Afifah High is an independent school it does not receive any financial help from the government. The only sources of income is the school fees and money raised through fundraising efforts by the school staff and member of he community, who are very keen to make the school a success.
Despite many obstacles we continued with resolve on our intellectual educational journey and with Allah’s blessings we laid the strong foundation to establish the school.
With the grace of Allah and with generous help from a Muslim brother, we now have acquired a larger building with all resources required.
Our new premises have adequate space to increase the number of pupils to 125 which has been approved by the local education authority.
